Nevada a state named for the snow covered mountains is more known for the arid dessert, gambling, prostitution, and easy to obtain divorce. Nevada is well known in history for the gold finds and the ghost towns that have been left behind. The state of Nevada is randomly speckled with ghost towns of long lost mining booms. The first ghost town was Potosi, the discovery of lead and zinc brought miners from all over searching for riches beyond their wildest dreams. To those who found this precious metal, many spent the money at the local saloon or brothel. When the mines stopped producing or the supplies ran out, everyone moved on and left the skeletons of buildings behind. The Wild West was surely wild. With gambling, saloons, and brothels, these towns had to maintain a sense of law. The local Marshall's job was to just keep peace. With the influx of immigrants being sometimes in the tens of thousands, his job was not an easy one. Gun fights and vigilantism were everyday occurrences. Death from poverty, starvation, or illness, occurred often. The wild times and mix of cultures created a free-for-all society which can be cruel and violent. The Civil War was funded by the silver, silver that came from the Comstock Lode in the town of Virginia City. Many of the miners were not very educated. Even when they found ore, they would sell their mine claim to someone else in the belief that they were rich. The money would soon be gone for they would spend it frivolously and then be poor again. Many have utilized suicide as a way out of this eternal cycle of torture from wealth to poverty over and over. Only to leave behind their soul for the under-lord to forever enslaves them in purgatory to do his bidding. The torture of everyday life of the miners continues as the devil himself tortures their souls in the eternity of purgatory. These souls still wander the vacant sands in the ghost towns, still searching for their strike. Tortured forever by the belief that it is close, will do anything to protect what is theirs. Miners came by swarm from all over the world, for the hope of finding riches beyond their wildest dreams. Many of these dreams turned into nightmares. Many miners found little to nothing and died from starvation or the brutal violence of vigilantes. Nevada became a portal to all that was evil, wicked, criminal, and brutal. The immense greed of these miners, the growth of towns, and the abandonment when the supplied dried up, created ghosts of towns. Brothels, saloons, and gambling houses sprung up all around when times were good. These indigent people became forever lost in gold fever while alive and then a more horrendous purgatory after death, eternally searching for their claim. Nevada is well known in the haunt world for the many souls who are lost between life and death, stuck in purgatory to eternally serve the under-lords every evil deed. The intense energy they expel helps the living keep them at bay for the remainder of the year. Unfortunately, they must return and do the bidding as part of their mission in purgatory. Souls have converged on the many haunted houses, haunted mansions, haunted caverns, mines, ghost towns, paranormal activity, attractions and more.
